You can’t say David Duchovny and Tea Leoni didn’t give their marriage a shot. They’ve been married since 1997. David and Tea separated in 2008 after David said he was a sex addict and entered treatment. They reconciled, only to separate again in 2011. David and Tea made their split official this past June, when David filed divorce papers.
TMZ reports the couple worked out their settlement themselves. They share joint legal custody of their children, who are 15 and 12, while Tea has primary physical custody. Both David and Tea live on the Upper West Side of NYC, so David isn’t far away. David reportedly will pay Tea $8,333 a month in child support as well as all of the children’s other expenses (camp, college, etc). Tea will receive $40K a month in spousal support.
I’m assuming David and Tea were able to keep things amicable if they were able to negotiate a settlement themselves. At least, I hope that’s the case.
